Kundalini Yoga

Rooted in lineage, sound, and embodied practice — offered in Woodstock, NY and beyond.

For the past several years, Hari Kaur and Jennifer Drue have been collaborating in Woodstock, NY to offer Kundalini Yoga experiences that are both deeply rooted and expansively nourishing. These offerings blend the precision and power of traditional Kundalini Yoga with the subtle, restorative qualities of live sound healing—creating a practice that supports clarity, resilience, and embodied presence. Our work together is an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and return to the wisdom of your own rhythm—held within a supportive, intimate community.

Our Shared Offering

This collaboration brings together two complementary practices:

  • Kundalini Yoga taught by Hari Kaur, a respected lineage holder with decades of teaching experience
  • Live sound healing and deep relaxation led by Jennifer Drue, using gongs, bowls, and vibrational sound

Together, these elements create a powerful container for transformation—balancing effort and ease, discipline and surrender, activation and integration.

Classes are accessible to both new and experienced practitioners.

Meet the Teachers

Hari Kaur Khalsa is a master teacher of Kundalini Yoga and meditation, pioneering its teaching in the West as part of the first wave of yoga teachers. She studied Qi Gong with Chris Chen and offers classes tailored for women and all practitioners. Hari directs and teaches Kundalini classes and teacher trainings worldwide, with a notable legacy of bringing Kundalini Yoga to high schools and hospitals. From 1988 to 2004, she led the development of Kundalini Yoga wellness programs at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in the Greater Boston Area before relocating to NYC with her husband, Dave. In 2004, Hari founded the Illumined Woman courses to empower women of all ages, curating wisdom that brings healing, comfort, and transformation. She authored two influential books: ‘A Woman’s Book of Meditation: Discovering the Power of a Peaceful Mind’ and, as co-author with Machelle Seibel, MD, ‘A Woman’s Book of Yoga: Embracing Our Natural Life Cycles.’ Hari’s dedication has earned her numerous service awards for making Kundalini Yoga accessible worldwide, and she was the first woman teacher trainer to integrate these teachings universally. Hari Kaur Khalsa’s impact extends beyond her teachings; she was recognized as one of Yoga Journal’s Top Ten Influencers of Yoga in the West, a testament to her profound influence on the global yoga community.

Jennifer Drue serves as a conduit for transformation, blending ancient wisdom with modern healing practices. Trained under the guidance of esteemed Hari Kaur, she channels the power of Kundalini Yoga, complemented by her expertise as a Certified Sound Therapy Practitioner, weaving the mesmerizing tones of the gong and other sacred sound instruments into her practice. Jennifer curates personal retreats and intimate sessions, each a sacred space for upliftment, healing and transformation. Her teachings resonate deeply, touching lives with the gentle power of healing. She also works for a non-profit organization dedicated to serving people navigating visual impairments and other disabilities, embodying her commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
